Window trim can be simple or Vintage by design. Offering fluted casing w/Plinth Blocks and Rosettes or a simple beveled casing. Shutters are also a great added feature for windows. 

Baseboard should be crisp, coped and sometimes mitered. It depends on the thickness and detail but installing baseboard before new carpet and/or after hardwood flooring, is hands down the best time to schedule new baseboard.
